While AT&T does not have any particular cell phone or service specifically designed for senior citizens, they have many plans that meet their needs. Most of the elderly people are used to the more traditional cell phones and are more comfortable using them. What AT &T actually does is offer them a plan which suits their age. They provide these senior cell phones keeping in mind the minimum requirements of an aging customer. Most of these people have retired and have grown children and don't need much cell phone usage. A smaller minutes package would suit them and be cost saving as well.

The Senior Nation 200 Plan falls within the Senior Cell Phone Plans which provides 500 weekend and evening minutes and 200 minutes at any time. Unlimited calls can be made from mobile to mobile and this package costs $29.99 for a month. Roaming and long distance calls can be made at no additional charge. However, if someone exceeds the time that is provided under this plan then he has to pay 45 cents per minute of the extra talk time availed. One has to enter into a specific contract in this plan.

The AT&T PanTech Breeze is another of the senior Cell Phone plan which offers a clear speakerphone with a loud volume. The buttons are large and well spaced for easy dialing. There are also three quick call buttons that can be programmed for easy dialing. The menus are very simple and the fonts are large. Apart from these basic features, it also offers some additional features that make it a better senior cell phone plan.

The above senior Cell phone plan also has a VGA quality camera in the cell phone. Other features provided are messaging text and downloading of games. You can also set the ringtone of your choice and select the kind of wallpaper you want on your phone. Messages can be sent with pictures as well as sound. This senior cell phone plan comes with a two year contract and is very suitable for the older generation.

The AT&T Nokia 6085 comes with a basic keypad which can be used along with TTY and hearing aids. It has a speaker phone, and voice dialing along with menus that are voice driven. Internet browsing, multimedia messaging, digital camera and an MP3 player are provided. When you buy the plan, the phone comes free.
