Search Info On BlackBerries
By Sofia J. Ferguson
Since smart phones were introduced a couple of years ago, they have increased in popularity massively. When the iPhone was first launched it was seen as a luxury fashion accessory, then the Android and Blackberry followed suit and were perceived as being in the realm of the "geeks" and computer people. Now though, lots of people have upgraded and it seems these smart phones are now becoming as normal as the last generation on mobiles. The big difference is that these are more like computers, and have "apps" that let you do many things you would on the Internet, just a lot more simply and optimised for the device you are on.
One of these things is email - you can keep in touch with your work email or personal email accounts, which is something that was unheard of only a couple of years ago. It means you are less likely to miss that important email in your personal life, stay in touch with people better and even lets you check your work email on that long, boring train ride so you can get stuck straight in when you get to work.
You can also now keep in touch with people through your favourite social networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. There are apps for almost all of these types of sites which simplify the computer version and optimise it for the device you are on. This means you can pick up messages etc immediately and get involved in the social discourse a lot easier.
You can now check your bank balance on your phone without going to a cash machine, which is a very useful tool to have. You can make your important financial decisions without going to the bank or the computer, and move money around when you actually need to do it, or when you first think about it instead of risking forgetting!
There are also music based apps, most notably the ones that will identify songs for you when you hear them, whether it is in a club, bar, shop - wherever you are all you need to do is hold the phone up and it can tell you the song.
