Blackberry and the Business World

Despite being something that's only gained prominence in the last decade or so, the Blackberry is now a crucial part of many business's day to day running. There are other tools offering phone coverage with internet accessibility, and there were devices that predated the Blackberry in this, but what it did do is make this a real, practical tool of business. So how did this one device some to dominate its own swathe of the business market for itself?

When so much depends upon responding quickly its understandable that businesses want something that makes things happen faster. With the Blackberry came a truly portable internet device - something that kept a team in better contact and allowed a manager to see things coming together - or falling apart - from the convenience of one screen, and while they were on the go. This meant a much lower mess-up potential for the whole process of business communication.

The Blackberry won over the hearts of executives not just with its sleek looks, but also its immense useablility. An inbuilt, compact keyboard meant there was actually a point to having internet on the phone, and with the ability to update the platform with augmentations to memory space and battery time it's no surprise that the Blackberry became the business person's boon. Even the charger proved to be suitably portable.

This reliability and functionality set new standards for up to the minute internet and phone communication, meaning things happened when they needed to. Also, with people being understandably wary about the safety of conducting important business on a device that could be hacked or monitored, the Blackberry offered an inbuilt range of impressive security - so much so that it's backed by the US government.

This meant that rather than setting a standard and fading, or becoming a trendy but disposable feature of the business person's pocket, the Blackberry instead proved itself to be a commodity that gave what it was supposed to. It helped make the workplace stronger by connecting those that need to be in the know wherever they are, and providing a system they can depend on.
