If you love to watch the wacky inventor Wallace and ever long suffering Gromit like many of us and our children, you be amazed and delighted to know that the hilarious duo will be seen in this years Christmas stamp courtesy of The Royal Mail design team.
After collaborating with Nick Park and Aardman animations to make the creative scenes for the stamp, it was a project that was done due to the popularity of the wacky duo. Who would have imagined that this cartoons series would have gone so far? But before the stamps, the short movies were already doing great and every body just loved the concept and just by watching it made us forget our troubles even if it were just for a moment.
But the moment Wallace and Gromit were definitely being distributed as cell phone games and then finally ended up in my personal phone, then I know the manufacturers of such characters are going to produce it big without a doubt. Almost all cartoon figures that are now even larger than life it self to some people today and now have even created their own cult following started out as easy ones. Heroes just like Mickey Mouse, Big bird of Sesame Street and Kermit the frog all just to name a few, started quite simple.
But because the creators were able to give life to them, give them character, we now see an empire like Disney land actually built upon them. Harry potter was just one a character in a book but now he has his own theme park in a make believe Hogwarts for all his fans to enjoy.
When I started playing Wallace and Gromit on my blackberry, I soon almost wanted to play with it even in coffee shops. As a provider of blackberry insurance, I personally knew it wasn't the wisest thing to do. Our insurance for blackberry does cover theft and accidental damages, liquid damages even. But it is still unwise to play in coffee shops and take the risk of being too preoccupied of Wallace's next stage and have my wits taken and damaging my blackberry. I do have peace of mind having blackberry insurance, but I think the game was too fun, I just forgot the risk.
And with Wallace and Gromit on our Christmas stamps this year, who knows exactly where these guys will probably end up the next time. Yet I do solemnly swear, that if they make a Wallace and Gromit theme park, I will certainly laugh my head off!
