There is an updated keyboard on the Blackberry Pearl 3G and it comes with many different shortcut keys. These are great for making it much quicker when writing texts or emails. The hotkeys also allow you to move between functions a lot more smoothly. Your device will be even more fun and much easier to use once you have built up your own shortcut key library but this will probably take a while. This phone has also signaled a change from Blackberry with a move towards the standard keyboard that you can find on similar devices some people complained the previous system was a bit confusing.
The Pearl 3G has replaced the tracker ball that could be found on previous incarnations and replaced this with an optical mouse. Many feel that this optical mouse is a huge improvement because there are no moving parts and it also tends to be far more responsive. You can watch video on this phone because it has a really bright display but it will be much better if you choose the landscape mode.
It is highly likely that Blackberry will get more people choosing them now with the addition of the fantastic Blackberry Pearl 3G. The fact that the makers can actually get more into a smaller phone has to be the best thing about it.
