5 Reasons To Choose A Blackberry Over An Iphone

iphones are one of the most popular mobile phones of the latest generation of 'smartphones' and are now a must have accessory for today's youth. This doesn't necessarily mean they are better than the other smartphones available and this articles discusses the benefits of it's nearest rival, the Blackberry.

1. Security of Data - The Blackberry as established itself as a market leader when it comes to security and the iphone seriously struggles to compete. The iphone systems have been hacked on numerous occasions and this has caused iphone users to lose a lot of data, much to their frustration. It's an area that Apple must work hard to improve.

The Blackberry on the other hand has never had any problems with it's security. It's also used by some leader political figures including Gordon Brown and and Nicolas Sarkozy.

2. Typing - The Blackberry benefits from a full QWERTY keyboard which makes it very easy to type at a decent rate. The iphone has a touch screen keyboard which for people with large fingers or for those who are quite clumsy makes typing very hard.

3. Number of Network Providers - The Blackberry is available on every network which has led to lower prices for every increasing call and text packages. Apple only agreed to let the iphone be sold by a couple of network operators who then have no reason to reduce their prices.

4. Picture Messages - Not a lot of people know this but iphones cannot actually send picture messages. Apple obviously deemed it unnecessary which seems like a big oversight to me. It is possible to send pictures via email but it's impossible to send to someone who doesn't have a smartphone.

5. Receiving emails - Sending and receiving emails on the go is one of the primary reasons that smartphones have become so popular. Out of all the smartphones available, Blackberry have perfected the integration between mobile phone and email account. Apple have not not done such a good job with the iphone and it's often quite a pain to synchronise your mobile and email accounts.

10 Reasons To Buy A Blackberry Over An Iphone

By Jerry Le Bon

Smart phones have taken over the mobile market in recent years and none more so than the iphone and Blackberry. The debate about which is better continues to rage with the iphone more popular with youngsters and the Blackberry more popular with business users. This article why the Blackberry is the best choice for almost everyone.

1. Its camera is 3.2 megapixel which houses a built in flash. It's far better than the camera on any other smartphone.

2. The Blackberry has a battery that you can easily remove at any time. If it fails its very easy to get and install a replacement, this isn't possible on an iphone.

3. The standard Blackberry headphones are of the highest quality and would cost a considerable amount if they were to be purchased separately. They are much better than the iphones, providing far greater sound quality.

4. The Blackberry screen has a traditional ratio aspect of 4:3 where as the iphone has a 9:3 ratio which makes it uneasy on the eye and takes a while to get used to. There is also 12.5 percent more picture element on the Blackberry screen.

5. When trying to access the internet through a laptop it is possible to use your Blackberry as a USB dongle. You are then able to access the internet through GPRS on your laptop. The iphone doesn't have this feature.

6. The Blackberry's are built on the Microsoft Windows platform so are much more compatible with the files found on most people's computers. The iphone is built on the Mac operating system so are not as secure as the Blackberry.

7. Although the iphone comes with a bigger memory as standard, it's possible to insert a 16GB microSD card to bring the Blackberry in line with it's competitors.

8. The way the Blackberry handles emails is far better than the iphone. Blackberry's receive emails as soon as they are sent whilst there can be a delay of up to 15 minutes with iphones.

9. The iphone doesn't allow users to send picture messages via SMS. It is of course possible on the Blackberry!

10. Blackberry's use the same QWERTY keyboard as is used on computer keyboards and typewriters. Therefore if anyone has used these formats they will be able to quickly grasp the concept of the Blackberry keyboard, where as the iphone touchscreen is much harder to grasp.

Blackberry Curve - The Ultimate Travelling Companion

Posted by gcfraley / Category:

By Jerry Le Bon

For anyone going travelling, choosing the right mobile phone is an important decision to make. The problem is that there are so many mobile phones on the market today but don't worry, I have taken the time to review the market and after weighing up all the different options have decided that the Blackberry Curve is the best option. This article explains why.

Listed below are some of the factors that made me choose the Blackberry Curve:

1. World Phone Coverage - I won't go into the technical aspects of this because it's beyond me. What I do know is that the Blackberry Curve is 'quad-band' which means it will work on telephone networks in every country you visit whether it's Antigua or Armenia.

3. Wi-Fi Connector - The Blackberry Curve makes it very easy for users to access WiFi at the click of a button. WiFi hotspots are springing up all over the world even in remote places and with a Blackberry you can take full advantage of them. You no longer need to find a expensive internet cafe to send emails to friends and family, you can do it from your phone where ever you are as long as you are in a WiFi hotspot.

3. GPS and BlackBerry Maps - There is no excuse for getting lost with built in GPS. You simply enter the name of place you want to go to or its area code and your Blackberry will point you in the right direction. It's reassuring to know that you won't get lost and find yourself in danger.

4. Digital Camera - The Blackberry Curve has a built in digital camera with a 3.2 mega pixel lens. It's a great quality camera that gives you images equal to and if not better than a stand alone digital camera. The Blackberry has a micro SD memory card slot if extra storage is required.

5. Music Player - There is also a built in music player which will play all your MP3 and MP4 files. The sound quality is surprisingly good, particularly if you invest in a additional pair of headphones.

There are still plenty of other features that I haven't discussed. If your thinking of going on a long trip I'd highly recommend you take one with you, it's a decision you won't regret.

By Frances L Pallett

We all seem to do things on the run these days - from business to networking and socialising with family and friends. We can't do any of this without our Blackberry and other mobile gadgets, keeping us in constant contact with just about everyone. There's just one problem. Batteries need charging and if you can't live without your Blackberry you'll probably find you can't live without the Blackberry car charger.

The Blackberry car charger ensures your device keeps up with you and your hectic schedule. The charger plugs into the back of your device and the tangle-free cable then fits in to the cigarette lighter or 12-volt power port in your car.

Owning the Blackberry car charger means you don't have to fret over the fact that you forgot to charge your device last night, or how much battery power it will lose whilst you are out on the road making calls and keeping up to date.

To listen to audio files from your Blackberry or use your in-car stereo system to listen to calls you should also invest in a Blackberry car kit.

The Blackberry car kit is easy to use. You simply clip it to your car's visor, turn it on and you are ready to make and take hands-free calls on the go. Incoming calls will be announced and voice-activated dialling means you can keep you hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road at all times.

The Blackberry car charger and Blackberry car kit are the best accessories to keep you in touch safely whilst you are out and about. Connecting with business contacts, friends and family is more a necessity than a luxury these days so it is vital that you invest in these accessories to make the process simple, stress free and safe.
